Riddrie House is a purpose built care home providing nursing care and is set within the local community in Riddrie, Glasgow.

Opened in 1996, Riddrie House caters for adults with enduring mental health problems that have wide ranging needs.

Riddrie House aims to provide a high standard of quality care whilst assisting service users to optimise their daily living skills and to become integrated into their local community.

The staff team consists of the manager, depute manager, qualified mental health nurses and care staff, providing 24 hour care. The team also consists of cooks and domestics providing 7 day cover.

Riddrie House has a full-time activities organiser, who coordinates a wide range of activities both inside and outside the home. Activities include educational programmes, work projects, creative courses and social events including outings and holidays.

All rooms within the home are single occupancy and have en-suite facilities.

Service users are encouraged to personalise their rooms, have keys to their own doors and to receive visitors in privacy.

A participation strategy is in place to enable communication with service users, families, carers and other service providers to ensure that the needs of the service users are met.
